How the calculation works
Is free shipping measured before or after discounts?
That depends on the store. Choose the subtotal before discounts or net merchandise after discounts. This page defaults to after discounts; stores may use a different rule.
How are coupons applied?
First, the cart-wide percentage discount is rounded to cents, with half a cent rounded up. Then the fixed coupon is deducted. Net merchandise cannot fall below zero and unused coupon value is not refunded. Example: a 10% discount on 0.05 rounds to 0.01, leaving 0.04.
Does the difference include the extra item?
Yes. If the current total is 980.00 and the add-on total is 1000.00, you pay 20.00 more. Free shipping alone does not describe the difference. These example amounts use one unspecified currency.
Are taxes or exchange rates included?
No. This is a mathematical estimate using one currency. Enter all amounts in the same currency with one store’s assumptions. Taxes, exchange rates, membership discounts and other special rules are not included.
Does this page read or save my shopping cart?
No. Only manual inputs are used, and inputs and results stay in this page’s memory. Clearing, leaving or reloading the page removes them. Copying only happens when you press the button.
